About Me
I’m an integrative, trauma-informed counsellor and also work somatically, recognising that our experiences are held in the body as well as the mind. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches. This flexibility allows me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs, preferences, and pace. I offer a warm, collaborative space to explore anxiety, grief, relationships, trauma, self-esteem, and difficult patterns, helping you understand yourself with greater compassion.
What I can help with

You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, struggling in relationships, low self esteem, grief or experiences from your past still affecting you today. Perhaps you are used to holding it all together for others but have lost touch with your own needs. I work with adults who want to understand themselves and the patterns they find themselves repeating. Together, we can explore what’s keeping you stuck with curiosity rather than judgement, helping you to feel more connected to yourself and able to move forward.
How we will work together

We will work together to untangle your difficult emotions by gaining an understanding of what's going on for you in the here and now and how your past has influenced that.
I work somatically, which means we may pay attention not only to thoughts and feelings, but also to sensations, posture, and breath. This can help us understand how your body holds and responds to experiences, and can be a gentle way to support healing and regulation alongside talking.
Our sessions are confidential, and my role is to support you without judgement. You don’t have to prepare anything in advance. Sometimes you may want to talk about specific events, and other times we may follow what emerges in the moment.
Reaching out for counselling can feel daunting, especially if you’re used to coping on your own. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and non-judgemental. I will be there to support and sit with you in whatever way you show up, whether that's angry, sad, hurt or depressed. I believe that all emotions are welcome in the room, including laughter.
If this resonates with you, then please get in touch, and we can see if working together feels right. If you have any questions about my approach, or if there’s something you know would help you feel more at ease in our work together, I will always encourage you to let me know at any point.
Our First Session
Before meeting, I offer a free 20-minute consultation on the phone, where we can talk about where you're at and get a good idea of how we will work together. This way, you can see whether you feel we are a good fit. It's important to choose the right therapist for you.
The first couple of sessions will be used partly as an assessment to gauge what's going on for you right now and what your focus is for future sessions.
